Suzanne Christie has been committed to the cause of NeighbourLink since its beginning in 1993. She began as an office volunteer and 1994 became Programme Director. After her retirement from the Director position she joined the board 2010. "NeighbourLink has become a wonderful part of my life, as I seek to serve my community in response to Jesus' command to 'Love our neighbour as ourselves'. It is such s blessing to get to know my neighbours, and to walk beside them in their time of need."

Secretary
"When I retired from teaching in 1997 I decided that I wanted to spend my days doing something that made a difference in peoples' lives. I chose to volunteer with NeighbourLink North York, a network that really helps those in need who cannot access services elsewhere. For the past 18 years I have served NeighbourLink as a Board member, a church co-ordinator, a driver, a shopper and an office volunteer. It has been very rewarding to see what a difference the gift of time can make in the lives of loney and isolated people and to be able use my gifts to ensure that NeighbourLink will continue into the future."

Phyllis Kovacs is a retired teacher who plays an integral part in the leadership of NeighbourLink North York. "I am a person of faith whose passion is to provide support for the needy in our community. NeighbourLink North York is very special to me as it provides me the opportunity to do so. It has been a joy to serve with NeighbourLink North York in various capacities over the past 10 years."

Henry Hengeveld is a member of the Willowdale Christian Reformed Church, and joined the NL board in 2014. He is a retired climatologist, and has served as a volunteer with a variety of organizations and causes.

I first became aware of Neighbourlink North York when I started attending Willowdale Presbyterian Church twelve years ago. The Neighbourlink mandate of members of local congregations reaching out with God’s love to help their vulnerable neighbours struck a chord in me, and so I served as that church’s volunteer coordinator for several years. Recently, I was asked to join the Board of Directors, and I have agreed to serve in this capacity as Neighbourlink continues to adapt to the needs and challenges of the community today.
