NeighbourLink North York offers many free short-term, non-emergency services such as:

Personal Care Centre ▾

NeighbourLink also provides personal care items for individuals in need through our Personal Care Centre located at:

The Personal Care Centre is open the first Tuesday of each month from 1-3pm. All items are donated by the NeighbourLink North York network partners.

Spiritual Support ▾

People who are very ill, isolated, or at end of life often ask spiritual questions, in seeking comfort, meaning and hope. We provide referrals and prayer support as requested.

Referral Services ▾

We operate a call-in resource centre where we provide callers with information about other community agencies who are able to assist them with their needs.

Please Note:
- All services are provided free of charge for those who qualify (Except Parking)
- we require 1-2 weeks notice for all service requests.
- Regular/ongoing services such as grocery shopping or visitation are available at a maximum of twice per month.
- Our transportation services are available to those who are physically independent and mobile.

- Individuals with no other family, social or government supports in place or all of the above resources have been exhausted
- Individuals with little or no income
- Individuals that live within our service area

How It Works

Agencies and residents call our resource centre seeking assistance for clients, loved ones or themselves.

More ▾

A NeighbourLink North York, Resource centre volunteer will conduct a short over-the-phone intake assessment to determine prospective clients’ eligibility for our services.

Depending on the request and the caller’s eligibility he or she will be connected with one of our NeighbourLink community volunteers who will assist with the request. If we are unable to assist with the request our resource centre volunteer will provide alternate referrals to social service agencies that might be of assistance. Please note that all services are provided by local church volunteers. We are neighbours helping neighbours.
